Kelly Tran

Kelly Tran's practice focuses primarily on insolvency, creditors' rights, receivership, business and employment litigation. Kelly represents financial institutions, student loan lenders, individual creditors, trustees and receivers in all aspects of business and consumer bankruptcies throughout California. Kelly is active in the insolvency community, having served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum and the California Bankruptcy Forum Conference Leadership Team. Kelly was also appointed to the Southern District of California's Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee.
Kelly works with her clients to determine their goals and takes the actions necessary to efficiently and effectively accomplish those goals. Prior to becoming a partner at Small Law, Kelly was a senior attorney at a boutique San Diego law firm. Kelly is admitted to practice law in the State of California and before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.
Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctorate from American University's Washington College of Law. After a few years on the East Coast, as a Southern California native, the perfect weather drew Kelly back west. Outside of the office, Kelly loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their two young daughters as well as rooting for her Bruins.
